I find all sorts of reasons not to get into politics

But I still do anyway

I get inspired to make stuff with my hands quite a bit. I’m not necessarily the kind of person to rally at rallies, but I do like to contribute to the cause. Introvert life ftw.

They have these sign wavers on street corners selling real estate or tax services or just sandwiches, so I thought I’d give my own message to the collective. Didn’t want to get too political, just wanted to pump a little positivity into the public square. I made this and left it on the corner where one of the big protests was happening. I hope someone got some good out of it.

This is another one of my “materials on hand” projects from the wood to the paint to the handles. There’s something deeply puzzling about trying to create something from what you just happen to have. And I mean puzzling not like confusing but like creating a puzzle. What can you make from what you have?
